Today marks the launch on Archangel: Hellfire, a multiplayer expansion to the 2017 HTC Vive and Oculus Rift mech game. A launch trailer was put out to accompany the game's release, and developer Skydance Interactive also revealed that the PvP portion of this expansion is already available for free.

The free version of the game is titled Archangel Hellfire 'Enlist Free' and is available all of the online stores that the base game is sold on. It lets players try the Team Deathmatch mode, which lets players choose from six mechs before diving into battle representing either the USFF or HUMNX. 

Those who pick up the full version of Archangel: Hellfire will be able to play the game's cooperative PvE mode, as well as the single player campaign. The celebrate the game's launch, the developers have partnered with Opera Event to host a competitve PvP tournament called the Mech Ascent Championship. Players to rank high on the game's leaderboards can create teams in order to fight for a $2,000 grand prize or $500 weekly prizes.

Peter Akemann, President of Skydance Interactive, had the following to say about finally releasing Archangel: Hellfire:
