Today, during a panel at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco hosted by Epic Games, which DualShockers attended, Studio Wildcard announced a new port for its dinosaur survival game Ark: Survival Evolved.

The popular game will come to Nintendo Switch, and while not many details have been shared just yet, it will be released in the fall.

This comes just a few days after a port of the game has been announced for mobile platforms, on which it'll come later this spring.

Ark: Survival Evolved is currently available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and was one of the first batch of games to officially support Xbox One X when the console launched last November.

Back then, Co-Creative Director Jesse Rapczak told us that a Nintendo Switch port would require "a lot of work." Apparently, the studio thought it was worth the effort.

It'll be interesting to see how ARK will actually compare with the other platforms, but if it can run on mobile, it can probably run pretty well on Switch as well.
