While a full calendar of new game releases is almost upon us with the likes of Mad Max and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Steam's weekly Free Game Weekend events offer gamers plenty of chances to check out games for free, with this weekend's offerings including a hefty surplus of four games.

Over on Steam's store page, four games have been made available in this week's Free Game Weekend on Steam, with users of the service able to download and play four complete games throughout this weekend and purchase them at a discount if they want to play further.

In particular, the popular Early Access title Ark: Survival Evolved will be available to play free this weekend, though the title is not receiving a discount and will only be offered for its original MSRP at $29.99.

In addition to Ark, users on Steam can also access Company of Heroes, Company of Heroes 2, and Mount & Blade: Warband (plus all of the game's DLC) for free this weekend while also receiving discounts if players wish to purchase them. The discount prices put Company of Heroes at $2.49, Company of Heroes 2 at $9.99, and Mount & Blade: Warband at $6.79.

All of these titles will be available to play for free this weekend on Steam now through Monday, August 31st.
