When you hear the term "immersive sim," Arkane Studios is usually the first studio to come to mind. For over two decades, the studio has come to define a genre of games that are all about immersion and player choice, from Dishonored to Prey and many more. With the studio reaching its 20th anniversary this year, Arkane is going big on celebrating everything that the studio has done over its history.

Arkane Studios has revealed what it has in store for its "Arkane 20" anniversary celebrations with a new trailer, which you can watch below and features clips from the studio's big moments over the past two decades. The studio also unveiled a new website dedicated to its anniversary plans, which include a number of giveaways, special offers, and more.

In celebration of the studio's anniversary, Arkane is offering a free copy of their first game, Arx Fatalis, and their digital art book The Art of Arkane for free by signing up for the studio's Arkane Outsiders mailing list. The anniversary website also includes a number of free wallpapers from several of the studio's games, behind-the-scenes articles detailing their making, and an interactive timeline of the studio's history and major events.

Arkane is also hosting a number of interactive events with members of the studio's team over the coming weeks, including a Reddit AMA on June 2 and a Discord AMA on June 11. On Bethesda's official Twitch channel, various members of Arkane Studios will also be hosting livestreams to answer fan questions and share stories from the development of several of its games, including Arx FatalisDishonoredPrey, and more. Alongside Arkane's official anniversary celebrations, if you haven't seen it already, this week also saw the release of Noclip's documentary on the history of Arkane Studios. The doc is also notable for including never-before-seen footage of several of Arkane's unreleased or cancelled projects, such as LMNOThe Crossing, and its planned Half-Life project set in Ravenholm.
