Arknights just celebrated its 2nd anniversary with a live stream on January 10, and producer Hai Mao just shared a special interview with teasers of possible future spinoffs.
While Arnights' gameplay focuses on tower defense, Yostar already mentioned it's possible we'll see spinoff games with other genres one day. Now, fans can keep their expectations high seeing the new teasing from producer Hai Moa.

Arksnights 2nd anniversary - Producer Teases possible spinoff games
The official YouTube account for Arknights published an exclusive interview with its producer Hai Mao. It's typically the kind of thing that has been going unnoticed, especially as the Arknights community like many other gacha games' communities tends to only gather their intel from Reddit and social media. The first question of the interview focuses on what kind of genres Arknights could get for new games and spinoffs.
Hai Mao explained the development team already has several ideas for spinoffs, like a strategy game featuring the various factions. However, he'd mainly like to make an Arknights RPG one day. This would be the best way to interact with the Operators and live in the world of Terra.
Hai Mao also most notably confirmed the Doctor will be left without a design so each player can imagine what they could look like. This is a typical element in social games so players can self-insert as the protagonist if they wish to.
Hai Mao also explained he couldn't choose a single favorite character, but mainly brought up Skadi among those who left everyone with a big impression. He also teased that more Dynamic Art or outfits similar to Skadi the Corrupting Heart's could be added as well.

The 2nd anniversary stream also included new details for the upcoming Arknights Prelude To Dawn: Season 1 anime adaptation. Ace will be appearing in the anime, and voiced by Takashi Matsuyama. The official site has opened with a key visual. And while not for the anime itself, new animated trailers for future Events were released.
