As announced yesterday, today From Software released a free Armored Core PS4 theme on the Japanese PlayStation Store.

The theme was released to celebrate the series’ 20th anniversary, that happened this year on July 10th.

It can be downloaded from the Japanese PlayStation Store, and at the moment of this writing, there is no information on it coming to the western stores.

The theme is dynamic and comes with custom sounds and icons. If you want to see what it looks like, you can enjoy a video recorded by yours truly at the bottom of the post, alongside a few screenshots provided by From Software.

This comes alongside the mention that the Armored Core series is not dead, and From Software explicitly expressing the will to continue it, even if no precise announcements or promises besides that have been made.

For now, we’ll have to be content with the theme. In order to download and install it, you’ll need a Japanese PSN account. If you don’t know how to make one, you can find out how to, alongside with a few housekeeping tips, in our dedicated article. After installation, the theme will be available for all of your accounts on the same PS4, as long as the console is set as primary.
