While From Software advised that there would be no announcements of new games or sequels during today's Armored Core 20th anniversary livestream, we still got something. The popular Tokyo-based developer just took to Twitter to confirm the intention to continue the series, inviting fans to be patient and wait a little longer.

"Thank you for watching the Armored Core 20th Anniversary Music Special Broascast! There is nothing we can announce now, but we don't intend to end the AC series as it is, so we'd be happy if you could wait a little longer. Even going forward, thanks for supporting From Software!"

On a second tweet, we also hear that we're going to get a little treat tomorrow, in the form of a PS4 theme.

"The Armored Core 20th Anniversary PS4 theme will be delivered tomorrow, December 5th. Please download it! Even from now on, From Software will continue to push forward with development. Thank you for your support!"

While we didn't get the announcement of a new game, as expected, this is certainly the next best thing.

Back in 2016, From Software President Hidetaka Miyazaki told DualShockers and several other western media outlets during a round-table interview that the studio was working on a new Armored Core game. Yet, From Software immediately backtracked as soon as the news came out, claiming with a press release sent to Japanese media that Miyazaki-san actually did not admit that an Armored Core game was currently in development.

Since its inception, the Armored Core series has been one of the most active mecha video game series in Japan until the PS3 generation, with Armored Core: Verdict Day in 2013 following an extended hiatus that continues to this day.

At the moment, Director and Producer Toshifumi Nabeshima is working on Left Alive by Square Enix. That being said, looks like we have more Armored Core to look forward to, and that's definitely great to hear.
