Armored Core: Verdict Day Blasting Westward, First Screenshots Released

February 22, 2013

Just days after it was unveiled in Japan, Namco Bandai has announced that their upcoming mecha shooter Armored Core: Verdict Day will see an international release. The game will launch for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 in North America, Europe and Australia sometime this summer. Verdict Day is set in an apocalyptic world where various factions fight over a dwindling supply of natural resources using mechs. Players will partake in this chaos by joining one of the factions, commanding a squadron and fighting for territory.

The game will include an improved online suite that uses a new matchmaking system, a “robust feature set”, and both co-op and competitive online multiplayer. Armored Core V‘s “Operating Mode” will make a comeback with new features, such as the ability to set rally points, mark targets, and command squadrons from a top-down point-of-view. Finally, players can transfer their Armored Core V save data and import their created mechs, which they can further customize with Verdict Day‘s hundreds of new parts.
