Today My.com announced via press release that its online tank battle game Armored Warfare is coming to PS4.
The game will be released on Sony’s console with all the elements of the PC version. These include five tank classes to fight with (main battle tank, light tank, tank destroyer, armored fighting vehicle and self-propelled gun), Player versus Player matches, Player versus Environment battles, and Global Operations.
Global Operations, which are a hybrid PvP and PvE mode, and PvE missions are the main elements distinguishing the game (besides the modern setting) from its main competitor World of Tanks by wargaming, that comes with a heavy PvP focus. If you like World of Tanks‘ idea, but prefer a more relaxed and less competitive environment, this game might be more up your alley.
Armored Warfare originally launched on PC in 2015, developed by Obsidian Games, that worked on the title until February 2017 when My.com took full control of its operations, with IllFonic helping with further expansion.
The announcement was accompanied by a trailer, alongside a second video showcasing the Global Operations mode, and a batch of screenshots showing the game’s rather intimidating tanks in action.
Armored Warfare is free-to-play supported by microtransactions, and will release on PS4 in early 2018.
