Fighting game ARMS was Nintendo's big new Switch-exclusive IP of 2017, and still has a passionate community almost 9 months after its initial release. Even though Nintendo has stopped producing new content updates for ARMS, it doesn't seem like they are ignoring its game and community. During today's Nintendo Direct, they announced the US & Canada Online Open, which begins today, and a new Global Testpunch for the game.

The ARMS US & Canada Online Open will be running from today, March 8, until March 18 in the game's online Ranked Match mode. These matches will serve as preliminary rounds, with the top eight players then participating in Online Finals on March 31. According to Nintendo, all of the finalists will get custom art pieces from the game's developers and a spot in the limelight when Nintendo streams the Online Finals as they happen.

For players that are curious about ARMS, but don't own it yet, Nintendo is holding another Global Testpunch for the game. These Global Testpunch events serve as limited trials for the game, so players can get a feel for whether they like the game or not. This next one will run from March 31 until April 2 and will be available for download on the Nintendo eShop between those dates.

You can check out the game's portion of the Direct below. ARMS is currently available exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
