Read-Only Memory has released previously unseen artwork, including early character sketches for ToeJam & Earl and Comix Zone, featured in the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis: Collected Works, a 25th anniversary retrospective book of the SEGA console still in the funding process on Kickstarter until December 8th. The book, officially licensed by SEGA, is filled with production artwork, interviews, development sketches and hardware manufacturing plans.

The creators of the 300-page trip down memory lane will also include new interviewees, Greg Johnson (ToeJam & Earl), Peter Morawiec (Comix Zone), Rich Karpp (Vectorman), Michael Latham (Eternal Champions) and Ed Annunziata (Ecco the Dolphin).

Other previously unseen concept artwork, design documents and sketches will also be included from Streets of Rage, Sonic the Hedgehog and Golden Axe as well as hardware concept illustrations. Sega Mega Drive/Genesis: Collected Works will be available for £25 (roughly $40); however, purchases outside the U.K will be required to pay more for shipping.
