Today Bluehole PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Tera developer Bluehole officially revealed Ascent: Infinite Realm, a new AAA MMORPG that was teased almost exactly a year ago.

The game, that was revealed today at Bluehole's G-Star media showcase in Busan, South Korea, comes with a setting that marries steampunk imagery and fantasy.

Some of the most relevant features of the game are the heavy focus on flight, which also appears in the game Realm vs Realm battle feature (a kind of PvP that pitches factions against one another in server-wide wars, debuted with the old and glorious Dark Age of Camelot). Players will be able using all kinds of flying vehicles, mech, anti-air artillery, cannons, mines, and more, combining aerial and ground combat.

Airships can be customized in type, appearance, color, and performance.  Players can also create their own quests, customize their hunting grounds, and alter the difficulty in dungeons or hunting areas. Five classes will be available including Sorceress, Mystic, Warlord, Assassin, and Gunslinger.

So, is it coming west? Yes, it is, by the hand of Black Desert Online publisher Kakao Games, with the closed beta scheduled for the first half of 2018. Also, if you're wondering, the only platform announced so far is PC.
