Assassin’s Creed 3 Rumors Point to New Time Period

Rumors have been running rampant these past couple of days, kind of like “rabid wombats”,  and it’s becoming hard to really hone in on what’s truly possible and what’s a load of crap.  Sometimes their wonderful rumors, just like this latest one from the Assassin’s Creed series. Please keep in mind, that “sources close to the project” doesn’t really mean anything so take it with a grain of salt; or just take the whole shaker with you.

A new but unconfirmed report from CVG talks about the upcoming Assassin’s Creed 3 being set during the American Revolution.  For those anti-history lunatics, that means it will take place during the 1700s. This mysterious “source close to the project” also states that the next game will be officially announced by March 31. But don’t hold your breath.  However, the recent statement from Ubisoft kind of coincides with this rumor by saying that the new game will feature a “new setting and a new hero.” Everything is all coming together now.

So how does everyone feel about this new shift in time? It’s all about the American Colonists versus the British redcoats so it should make for an interesting adventure. I wonder who’s going to voice George Washington…
