This is just something I couldn't pass up sharing: at San Diego Comic-Con recently, Ubisoft teamed with YouTube channel user Devin Super Tramp and Parkour traceur Chris Romwell--wearing an Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag costume designed by Allison Dredge, with music by Stephen Anderson--to have Romwell run around all of Comic Con, which hilariously includes him flipping over occupied tables, dashing through crowded vistas, and of course walking through crowded rooms to assassinate his prey.

The video was shot both in Comic-Con and on the Star of India for the pirate ship scenes, all on a Canon 1DC, in 4K, much of it on a Canon 16-35mm, in low light, and often around 6400 ISO. One visual effect was handled by Jared Moench, and the behind the scenes video was handled by Parker Walbeck. Devin mentions that normally he works with athlete Ronnie Shalvis for his Assassin's Creed video, but Shalvis was injured, and instead recommended Romwell, who, as you can see in the video below, makes for a great Edward Kenway.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is set to release to PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360 in North America on October 29th, in Australia on October 31st, in Europe on November 1st, and in Japan on November 28th. It will also come to PS4, Xbox One and PC by the end of the year. For more news on the series, check out all of DualShockers’ Assassin’s Creed coverage.
