Assassin's Creed Comet is a title rumored to be in development for PS3 and Xbox 360 and slated for release later this year, and a rather popular DeviantArt user posted the picture of a piece of concept art allegedly coming from Ubisoft via a friend's father that made a delivery there and supposedly snapped the photo.

You can see the full picture below. What's interesting is that Videogamer just posted an interesting article bringing forth the theory that Comet could be set in Ancient Rome. The artwork definitely fits that setting, as the clothing, footwear and gladius indicate.

Of course we should take this "leak" with a large pinch of salt, given the rather sketchy source, but the artwork looks realistic, and quite fitting in style with official Assassin's Creed concept art published by Ubisoft. It could be real, or a well made fake.

That said, the timing with Videogamer's article and Jade Raymond's statements that sparked it is quite interesting, as this picture was posted four days ago, while Raymond's interview followed two days after.
