Assassin’s Creed Film Adaptation Script Getting a Rewrite, Still on Track to Begin Shooting this Summer

on April 8, 2014 7:37 AM

While Assassin’s Creed is expected to have another big year in 2014 with two upcoming titles expected to release, 2015 will also happen to bring us Assassin’s Creed on the big screen with the upcoming film adaptation expected to release next year.

Reports indicate that the film adaptation of Assassin’s Creed will be undergoing a rewrite, as Ubisoft Motion Pictures and New Regency have hired screenwriters Adam Cooper and Bill Collage to create a second draft of the script for the upcoming movie. Cooper and Collage will be working with a previous draft from Scott Frank and Michael Leslie, as typically many films (especially blockbusters or big budget films) will undergo numerous rounds of writing and drafts until a final screenplay is approved – no details of what parts of the script are being rewritten have been given, otherwise.

Assassin’s Creed will begin shooting this summer, and is expected for release in August 2015.
