Assassin’s Creed Film Lands a Writer

on January 15, 2013 8:24 AM

Following the recent news of Michael Fassbender being tapped as the lead in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed live-action film adaptation, Ubisoft and New Regency have announced that they have found a writer to pen the project’s script. Michael Lesslie – who has made a name for himself with his work in theatre and with short films – will write the script alone.

Recent speculation has posited that Assassin’s Creed will begin filming sometime this year. However, with no director hired for the project and there is no way a prospective release window 2013 window seems feasible.
