Assassin's Creed Infinity Fan-Trailer Depicts Japan as an Amazing Destination

June 5, 2022

Although Ubisoft has already confirmed the existence of Assassin’s Creed Infinity, we are yet to get a first look at this project. However, a fan-made Assassins Creed Infinity trailer built upon Unreal Engine 5 could give you an idea of what a next-gen AC would look like.

Looking at the past, we have heard rumors around an Assassin’s Creed game set in Japan many times, but it has never happened for any of the mainline entries of the series.

The future of the franchise is unknown yet, as Ubisoft has already invested in a multiplayer-based Assassin’s Creed title called Infinity, but we don’t know whether it’s the next mainline entry or the French publisher is cooking up something else.

With all the information we have, it’s almost impossible to guess what the new Assassin’s Creed would look like and how this could differ from the previous iterations, but thanks to a talented Unreal Engine 5 creator, you can now check out a fan-trailer for Assassin’s Creed Infinity set in Japan!

Assassin’s Creed Infinity Could Be a Real Masterpiece If Developers Do Pick Japan As the Main Setting

Created and shared by TeaserPlay, the trailer above is a jaw-dropping demo project built in Unreal Engine 5. This is truly amazing and feels magnificent to have a game set in such a beautiful location. Aside from the incredible visuals thanks to the sheer power of Unreal Engine 5, the animations look superb as well.

We have seen the old Japan in many different games so far, but gamers always love to explore the incredible lands of this beautiful island more and more. The last game that masterfully depicted Japan was Sony’s Ghost of Tsushima, but we do expect more games to set their destination to Eastern Asia.

Unfortunately, the project above is only a small tech demo and doesn’t feature any playable sequences, but it could be a hint for us to set our expectations for the future of the Assassin’s Creed series.

Unreal Engine 5 is now available for free on PC via Epic Games Launcher.
