Yesterday a new alleged screenshot of Ubisoft's next generation title Assassin's Creed Unity was published in a YouTube video by user watchdogs xwk. The video was taken down via copyright claim by Ubisoft itself, possibly confirming the legitimacy of the leak, but not before Reddit user  wq0326 managed to take a snapshot, relayed on Access the Animus' Facebook page. Interesting enough, as noticed by the admin of the page, the character seems to be carrying Altair's dagger strapped to his back.

While there's no official confirmation that the screenshot comes indeed from the game, the style definitely matches what we saw in the official screenshots previously released by Ubisoft. You can check it out just below compared with an official screenshot that was confirmed to be gameplay. Alternatively, it could also be concept art created for the game.

Whatever it is, it looks lovely, doesn't it?

We reached out to Ubisoft for a comment on the legitimacy of the screenshot.

Updated: NeoGAF user Endless found out a clearer version of the picture (that was added below) on French image hosting site NoelShack. This version definitely seems more like a piece of concept art, but it's hard to be 100% sure.

Update 2: Ubisoft Communication Manager Alberto Ziello responded to our inquiry, but unfortunately it's just a "no comment."

Of course I saw the picture published on the web. We don't comment on rumors or speculation on unofficial material. We'll share official gameplay pictures of Assassin's Creed Unity over the coming months.
