Ubisoft is showing off what the next year of Assassin's Creed Valhalla is going to look like with the Ostara Festival.

In the constant industry push to turn every game into having a live service model, it's no surprise that a giant developer and publisher like Ubisoft would want to turn one of their biggest franchises into an even bigger cash cow.

There's nothing wrong with trying to retain a substantial player base, in fact, I applaud the efforts to make the most recent Assassin's Creed into something people enjoy returning to.

Today launched the Ostara Festival in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, so here's everything you need to know about the seasonal event.

  • UPDATE: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla March 16 Update 1.2.0

What is the Assassin's Creed Valhalla Ostara Festival

The Ostara Festival is an in-game event that runs from today, March 18 until April 8. In it, players will find new items, all sorts of new things to do around the Ravenholm settlement, and learn new skills.

New Activities

Similar to other festivals the game has hosted, there are a handful of new things to do around your settlement. There are new drinking games, side-quests, and an Easter Egg hunt.

New Skills

There have been three new skills added to Eivor's skill tree for the Ostara Festival. According to the game's official website the new skills are as follows:

"The Fearless Leaper skill thrusts Eivor upwards before landing a mastered falling attack atop enemies. Equip the new Raven's Loot and Loot Food skills to increase Eivor's efficiency when at range or on the prowl, giving you more time to stay on the move."
