Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Latest Trailer Offers Insight into the Narrative
Assassin's Creed Valhalla has received a new video that gives us a deeper look into what the game's story will focus on.
We’ve slowly started to see a lot more of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla over the months as we near the game’s release, but in a general sense, we haven’t learned a whole lot about the entry’s storyline outside of some broad plot beats. Fortunately for those looking to learn more, a new trailer for the game has today released that sheds more light on the narrative.
In the latest video for Valhalla, which is outright called the Story Trailer, Ubisoft gives us a look at what looks to be some of the early game cutscenes and interactions that we’ll see in the full release. The trailer centers around Eivor and his brother Sigurd as they look to find a new home in the nation of England. In the process, we’re also given a look at some of the various factions and foes that Eivor will have to do battle with over the course of the game. The trailer then concludes by presenting us with a tease of a mysterious group called the Hidden Ones, who seem to play a major role in the story.
Overall, the storyline of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla looks pretty straightforward from a top-down view. Then again, AC Origins and Odyssey didn’t contain a whole lot of depth at first either, but the way in which those stories grew out over the course of the game was quite interesting, at least in my own experience. Hopefully, the same can be said for Valhalla.
You can check out the new trailer in question attached down below if you’re interested. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will release later this fall on November 10 for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Stadia. It will then launch in tandem with the PS5 two days later on November 12.
