The PS5 finally launches tomorrow, which means fans will get their hands on the pack-in title Astro's Playroom. The platformer takes the starring character from one of the best PSVR games and has you take him on a journey through PlayStation's history. While not the system-seller that something like Super Mario 64 was, it still sounds like a fun romp. Early reports seem to mostly agree with that assessment as you can see in the accolades trailer below.

As you can see, Astro's Playroom is doing well critically. Again, it's not the game you buy the system for; however, it does seem to do a great job of showing off everything the DualSense controller can do. That's important when you remember all the wild new haptics that thing brings to the table. Even if non-first-party studios don't use the controller to its fullest, it's great to see a game that fully takes advantage of the DualSense out of the gate.

The other big selling point for Astro's Playroom is how deep it digs into the history of PlayStation to tell its story. It's fun to see something like Astro's Playroom that takes advantage of the company's long run in video games. Obviously, I haven't played the game just yet, but everything I've heard has me excited to see all the callbacks and references for myself.

Astro's Playroom is out on November 12 for PS5. As mentioned above, it's a pack-in title for your shiny new console. So, if you're getting a PS5 this week or later this holiday, you'll be able to play the game right away.
