It’s almost coming up to that wonderful time of year, yet again, where we see an influx of products enticing us to buy them. Atari is no exception to this rule, but their latest goods definitely made we want to give in to consumerism being a lifelong fan of anything Atari.

Today, the masters of retro gaming have revealed their latest two products; the Atari Retro Handheld and Atari Retro Plug & Play Joystick. The adorable handheld comes with a 2.4-inch color screen and the original console finish of the wood veneer. The small but mighty machine has over 50 classic games pre-loaded on to it that include Asteroids, Pong, Centipede, Missile Command, Breakout, Millipede, and many others to get your teeth into.

The Atari Plug & Play Joystick looks just like the original Atari joystick if you’re old enough to remember it that is. The only difference now is that a fire button is added to the top to make it simpler to shoot. You have the ability to stretch out on your sofa and play some of the worlds greatest classics as it will connect to your TV with the included A/V cable or HDMI with a suitable adapter.

In May this year, we saw Atari push out their VCS Models. The Atari VCS Onyx and the Atari VCS Day One Collector’s Edition. Both are available to pre-order from Indiegogo and are due to ship mid-2019.

The Atari Retro Handheld, priced at £34.99/$45 and Atari Retro Joystick, priced at £24.99/$32, will launch on October 26th, 2018 and are available to pre-order now from FunstockRetro.co.uk and Amazon.
