During a livestream from Japan hosted by the Japanese magazine Dengeki PlayStation, Atelier developer Gust made a surprise announcement that will make many fans of the series happy.

The developer will release Atelier: The Alchemist of Arland 1-2-3 DX for PS4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on September 20th.

The remasters will span the whole Arland trilogy, including Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland, Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland, and Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland.

The original games were released in between 2009 and 2011 in Japan for PS3, and now they're coming with a fresh coat of paint to PS4 and Switch. The standard edition of each game will cost 4,800 yen plus taxes, while a "Premium Box" edition will release priced at 13,800 yen plus taxes. It will include all three games, a mini crystal paperweight (Gust really loves those), and three acrylic charms featuring the three heroines of the game. You can take a look at their designs at the bottom of the post.

A downloadable version of the whole trilogy (of course without the physical bonuses) will also be available for 10,800 yen plus taxes.

Below you can check out the trailer broadcasted during the event. Of course, a western release has not been announced for now.
