Today Koei Tecmo and Gust released a sizable batch of gameplay of Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings.

The video is actually the same gameplay that was broadcasted in a livestream yesterday, but this time around it's in fully direct-feed 1080, and it doesn't have the game's developers talking on top of it, so you can actually enjoy the audio.

We get to give a look at the new title's alchemy system, which is slightly different from its predecessors and can even be used in battle. On top of that, we see plenty of combat and a look at returning characters like Firis and her sister Liane, Sophie and more.

As usual, the game retains the adorable art style that sets the series apart, and this time around it takes an even more fantastical turn thanks to the ability to travel into the "mysterious paintings."

You can check it out below, and if you want to see more, you can also enjoy a recent gallery of images and more screenshots from a couple of weeks ago.

The game will launch in Japan on December 21st, 2017, for PS4, Switch and PS Vita. The Japanese Vita release will, unfortunately, be the only one playable on Sony’s portable, as the western version, which will come in early 2018, will skip it in favor of PC.
