Gust and Koei Tecmo revealed more about the next Atelier game, Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout. Most notably they revealed Atelier Ryza has a field synthesis and sharing system.

In Atelier Ryza, you can synthesize one-time-use "Travel Bottles". Using these will transport you to a new field. The field's characteristics, what kind of monsters will appear in it, and what can you gather in it, is decided by the ingredients you used to make the bottle.

Before using a Travel Bottle, you can add more ingredients in it to change the field's characteristics.

You can use different ingredients to make any kind of field, from snowy plains to volcanoes.

Moreover, each time you use alchemy to make a Travel Bottle, you get a 4 letters password. If you enter a password you got from another player, you can create the same Travel Bottle they made. Assuming you also have the ingredients, this allows players to share fields with each other.

Gust published a short gameplay video showing the Travel Bottle system in action. You can check Atelier Ryza's latest trailer here and read more about some of the characters and the alchemy system.

Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout launches on PS4 and Switch in Japan on September 26. Atelier Ryza will release only a month later in the west, on October 29, for the same platforms plus PC via Steam.

Gust also announced a new Atelier Ryza trailer will be released on August 9.
