Atelier Shallie Reveals Burst Mode and Variable Strike, Atelier Escha & Logy Crossover Confirmed

Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea get a batch of new screenshots — this time we learn a bit more about Burst Mode and how to use chains effectively.

The first step in this process is to fill up the Burst Gauge by using cooperative attacks. Once in Burst Mode, chaining attacks together using assisted attacks from other part members. When every third person in a chain attacks, that strike turns into special move called Variable Strike, which inflicts more damage than normal and even features a cool cutaway of the character performing it. Using Burst Mode, Chains and Variable Strikes wisely, you can rake up the damage and devastate enemies.

Finally, Escha Malier from Atelier Escha & Logy has been confirmed to appear in Atelier Shallie. She was summoned to this land to further Alchemy studies in her own and seems to function as a mentor of sorts for the two protagonists in this title. Two new characters have also been revealed, Katla Larchica and Raoul Pireit. Katla revived her family business and has become a traveling peddler to expand further. Raoul is the current leader of the Zaikyo-union, who inherited the title at a young age from the predecessor’s only son.
