In a New Year's greeting messege published by Famitsu, publisher ATLUS has mentioned that it is preparing for reveals of multiple unannounced games in 2023 following the release of Persona 3 and Persona 4 remastered versions.

One of ATLUS's most anticipated titles is Project Re Fantasy, a true Fantasy RPG intended as a departure from the modern dramas explored in other popular ATLUS titles. In a message from December 2021, producer Katsura Hashino had stated that development on the game was finally reaching the climax. Hashino also previously had spoken before at length about his approach to this new fantasy world and how he intends to portray a journey of conflicts between different races and the growth in people that it brings, but also to implement a new approach to the genre similar to the limited-time schedule in Persona games.

Naoto Hiraoka, Senior Managing Director at ALTUS, told Famitsu in 2021 that the teams at ATLUS has at least six titles in development, and that we can dial up this number up to ten if we include their collaborative works with studio Vanillaware and other companies. Vanillaware is the studio responsible for the sleeper sci-fi hit 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, and the team confirmed before that it is already working hard on its next game. Vanillaware has also included a tease of its next work in the prologue demo of 13 Sentinels, which appears to be something akin to fantasy or medieval work.

The Etrian Odyssey series was also teased to be getting some news very soon. It is a 3D dungeon crawler series that started on the Nintendo DS and 3DS portable consoles and required players to handle the sketching of their own map using the stylus and touch screen. During a livesteam for Etrian Odyseey X 2018 – the latest title in the series – it was announced that the series would be moving to the next stage. Hiraoka, during his 2021 interview, also teased various other big projects in addition to ten titles in development, which could be the current remasters of past Persona titles we have now, or something else entirely.
