The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu included a new year message from Atlus, and it's a promising one

The house of Shin Megami Tensei and Persona mentioned that the company has "several unannounced titles" to announce in 2017, encouraging fans to look forward to the reveals. Unfortunately, they did not provide further information on the nature of those games.

Most probably, they're not talking about the new fantasy JRPG code named Project Re Fantasy in the works at the newly formed Studio Zero, as Director Katsura Hashino said quite clearly that the game is very early in development, and we won't see it for quite a while.

One hint might have been provided by Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse Producer Kazuyuki Yamai, who said a couple of weeks ago that  he hopes to share something about a new development milestone for the MegaTen series in 2017.

Atlus Director of Consumer Software Department Naoto Hiraoka also teased in the previous issue of Famitsu that the company intends to announce its new games without waiting as much as usual.

It'll certainly be interesting to see what will come out of this. Could we be getting a Persona 5: Arena?
