New Game Plus Expo announced a livestream event that will showcase new and upcoming releases from various developers and publishers. Interestingly enough Atlus West is listed as one of the publishers featured for said event:

atlus, atlus west, ngpx

The presentation will air via Twitch on June 23th from 8:00 a.m. PT to 11:00 p.m. ET, which will be followed by first looks, Q&A sessions, and more from 9:00 a.m. PT to 12:00 p.m. ET and from 4:00 p.m. PT to 7:00 p.m. ET. According to the livestream's description:

Welcome to NEW GAME+ EXPO, an online showcase of new and upcoming releases from a coalition of developers from around the world. Featuring a diverse assortment of dozens of titles spanning every genre from action to puzzle-solving and even storytelling, this is your glimpse into what’s next from your favorite publishers!

I wonder if this is related to the survey Atlus West released back in March, which gauged how fans would feel concerning a Western release for Persona 5 Scramble. That would certainly be great news for those wanting Scramble to make its way to the West. Hopefully whatever announcements made then will be juicy.

Sega hasn't provided us with a clear sales figure for Persona 5 Royal as of yet. However, we do know a few things from previous reports. In its first month in Japan, the game had shipped over 400K copies. Royal also topped the sales charts in both Taiwan and South Korea. Plus, it was in the top ten for both the UK and US charts during its opening weeks.

Back in February of this year I was able to sit down with the head of Atlus West PR, Arianne Advincula, for a quick interview. We discussed the challenges faced working with a game that has already been released in Japan, changes in the English localization between the original P5 and Royal, how streaming policies have been being handled since its launch in the West, the EFIGS localization, and more.

Be sure to check out our reviews for both Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight and Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight, which both reviewers enjoyed. You can also read our review of Persona 5 Royal written by yours truly, in which I state that "Atlus has packed Persona 5 Royal full of new content that is sure to delight newcomers and even veterans of the original with a far more robust experience." There’s also our post review discussion featuring myself and Video Manager Mario Rivera as we break down some of our favorite parts of the game.
