While Ubisoft is known for their larger franchises like Assassin's CreedGhost Recon, and many others, the company has also been known for taking on smaller, more experimental endeavors, with the studio announcing a brand new online multiplayer experience called Atomega.

Ubisoft has announced a new online, multiplayer-focused FPS called Atomega, which will release on September 19th, 2017 for PC, for a price of $9.99. The title is under development from Ubisoft Reflections, and comes from the team that worked on Grow Home and its sequel, Grow Up.

Ubisoft explained that the title "was made with a creatively experimental mind-set," with the team looking to explore "unusual concepts which will surprise and delight players." That concept in Atomega is through its setting and gameplay, with the game taking place at "the very end of time where reality is rapidly dissolving," and where the only remaining form of life are Exoforms, which are super advanced, post-biological lifeforms that "fight for fun and dominance."

In terms of gameplay, players will be engaged in firefights of up to 8 combatants in heated 10-minute matches, where players will fight to acquire "mass" and evolving their Exoform from a small Atom form, to the incredibly powerful Omega form.

Atomega will release for PC on September 19th, 2017 - for a closer look at the upcoming title, you can check out the game's announcement trailer below:
