We already knew that there was an Attack on Titan game coming for the 3DS, but until now we knew pretty much nothing about it. The title, named Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Humanity and developed by Spike Chunsoft, will be released on December the 5th in Japan for 6090 yen.

The game will feature high-speed action combat against the titans using the 3D maneuver gear showcased in the manga and anime series. Initially the player will only be able to select Eren for the story mode, but Mikasa and Armin will be unlocked afterwards.

The purpose of each mission is to exterminate the titans without being grabbed. If the player makes a mistakes and ends up in the hands of one of the giants, he'll be eaten, leading to the failure of the mission. In single player there will be AI controlled allies, but at times they'll be captured by the Titans. When that happens the player will be able to rescue them by severing the titan's hand.

There will also be co-op multiplayer for up to four players, and in addition to tackling the Titans as a team, we'll be able to actually create our personal soldier, customizing his appearance and leveling him up thanks to a series of RPG elements.

Below you can see the first screenshots, that look definitely better than I expected.
