About Peter Hunt Szpytek
A podcast host, video producer, and journalist, Peter (he/him) is the Video Lead at DualShockers. After leaving DualShockers back in 2021 to write for sites like IGN, GameRant, Gameranx, and GameSkinny, Peter is back with DualShockers, leading the video team to create gripping video content for both the site and the DualShockers YouTube channel.
After starting his career in 2020, fresh from graduating college, Peter has worked as a writer and video producer to create a diverse portfolio of gaming content that covers the entire industry.
Favorite Games and Genres
I'm a new From Software convert, but since falling in love with the studio, I've worked hard at finishing all of the modern Soulsborne games (though I'm still working through Dark Souls 1 and 2.) My list of favorite games includes things like Dead Space 2, Persona 5 Royal, Nier: Automata, Return of the Obra Dinn, Final Fantasy X, Portal 2, Resident Evil 7, and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.
Industry Focus
As the Video Lead here at DualShockers, my main focus is on creating fresh video content and guiding the rest of the team to follow suit. While I definitely love indie games, most of the coverage you'll find of mine at DualShockers will be discussing the biggest AAA releases.
First Game Console and Preferred Platforms
My first console was the Gamecube which I shared with my two siblings as a kid playing things like Mario Kart: Double Dash and the Legend of Zelda Master Collection together. My preferred platform nowadays is the Xbox Series X since I love the controller so much.
