Before becoming a news editor editor, her previous roles included being a staff writer, head of culture, and senior editor where she has gained vast editorial experience over the past eight years.
First Game Console and Preferred Platforms
The Sega Mega Drive (Sega Genesis) was my first proper console, although I was also obsessed with Game & Watch handhelds. I don't remember the very first game but I do remember playing a lot of Sonic, Golden Axe and Castlevania: Bloodlines.
Favorite Games and Genres
Rachael loves nothing more than taking a deep dive into the world of gaming from The Last of Us Part 2 and The Witcher 3 to Diablo 4 and Baldur's Gate 3. Although she has a soft spot for indie titles and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker on the Nintendo Switch.
