There's no shortage of strange simulator games but have you ever simulated the act of cutting up a cadaver? From November 2022, you'll get the chance to take on the gruesome profession from the comfort of your own home. No tools required; puke bucket optional.

Team17 has announced that it is partnering with developer Woodland Games to publish Autopsy Simulator on PC later this year. The game has a release window of November 2022 and a suitably creepy trailer featuring a headless cadaver. Yeah, it's not holding anything back. If you played the demo released earlier this year, you'll know that it goes all the way.

Autopsy Simulator is a game of two halves, with one side being the "simulator" part of the game where you'll work through case files to determine what caused the deceased to land on your table, and then there's the game's story mode, Autopsy Simulator: Dead Memories.

Autopsy Simulator: Dead Memories is a narrative experience set within the confines of the miserable morgue and it follows pathologist Jack through a psychological horror story that sees the pathologist grappling his own inner demons whilst trying to perform his grisly duties. It's sure to be spooky stuff, and if you played the demo earlier this year, you'll have already had a taste of Dead Memories, as the demo was a slice of this standalone story.

For the time being Autopsy Simulator has only been announced for PC (via Steam) and it's set to release this November 2022.
