The 'New Assignment' update comes a year after Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands initial release, but will be available to players today. The update comes with new gameplay features such as the new map-voting tool, three new classes, and two maps for Extraction mode. Those who are interested in playing with the new Trapper, Guerilla, or Stalker classes will need to own the Season Pass or Ghost War Pass.

Campaign mode will exclusively receive more Fallen Ghosts weapons. Rainbow Six Icons will now be collectible through Spec Ops Crates and Ghost War crates, making them available in both Campaign and Ghost War.

Also introducing a new map-voting tool into Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, players will be able to choose between one of three different Ghost War maps before every PvP Quickplay and Ranked match. The two new maps included are 'Refinery' and 'Cliffside', exclusives for Extraction mode. Owners of the Season Pass or Ghost War Pass will immediately have access to the three new classes, giving new gameplay options in both campaign and multiplayer modes.

Included are The Trapper, The Guerilla, and The Stalker. The Stalker is a sharpshooter who takes down their enemies with their list of special abilities. The Trapper is equipped with a semi-automatic sniper rifle and can deploy remote KO-gas traps to surprise their enemies, an expert shooter who can also mark already-dispatched enemies. The Guerilla uses a smoke-grenade launcher drone and supports teammates using diversion tactics.

Nouredine Abboud, the Senior Producer at Ubisoft Paris stated:

"We want to thank players for their continuous support and feedback during its first year...We have much more to come and cannot wait to share more information with you!"
