Last week on May 28, it was announced that Avalanche Studios Group will be opening a new studio that's based in the UK. The studio will mark forth studio from the company to open and for the time being, employees are working remotely.

Avalanche Studios, known for games such as the Just Cause series, theHunter: Call of the Wild, and Rage 2, is opening its first UK-based studio in Liverpool. It has a core team of 5 developers already working remotely due to coronavirus-related lockdowns still being in effect. However, it is recruiting for an additional 20 positions with the hope of growing the team to over 50 within the next 2 years.

The official announcement states that the UK studio will be collaborating with the other studios (Stockholm, New York City, and Malmö) on both current and future IPs from Expansive Worlds. Expansive Worlds is a creative division from Avalanche Studios and works on the theHunter hunting simulation titles that include detailed open environments.

The blog post from Avalanche Studios Group states "The Liverpool location will play an important role in our sustainable growth strategy to recruit over 100 people in 2020"

The current job openings are listed here, in addition, various roles are available for an unannounced title. Avalanche Studios Group's Systemic Reaction back in March revealed a trailer for an untitled project and then later revealed Second Extinction. However, the Expansive Worlds subsidiary has not announced or teased anything as of yet.
