While Square Enix's Avengers game was hyped a lot before its unveiling, reception towards the game has been mixed since it was first shown off at E3 2019. That being said, Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have continued to show more and more of Marvel's Avengers off recently, and today's overview trailer should be the best indicator yet for whether or not you will be interested in the game.

To start, it goes over the game's premise in greater detail than anything before it. In this universe, the Avengers were forced to disband after the unveiling of their west coast base and Terrigen reactor goes horribly wrong. In that time, AIM is able to establish itself and take control, though the organization's true motives are nefarious. Kamala Khan, the hero Ms. Marvel, ends up bringing the Avengers back together as they try to prove their innocence.

We also learned more about how Marvel's Avengers is structured. A decommissioned Helicarrier serves as the player's base of operations, and from it, one can choose to embark on single-player Hero missions or Warzone missions that support multiplayer. That being said, all missions will "drive the narrative forward" in some way.

This trailer also confirms that Marvel's Avengers is much more customizable than it initially seemed to be. Each of the playable heroes will have a plethora of costumes available, and there are skill trees to progress through as well as gear with perks to equip. Overall, it seems that the A-Day mission was just a very limited look at an otherwise expansive superhero game, and I am now much more excited for Marvel's Avengers than I was before.
