Truant Pixel has done it again: after the awesome Hanami dynamic theme, the prolific creator proved once more that not all PS4 themes on the PlayStation Store are trash, and that putting actual effort into one's creation and using the tools provided by Sony can yield really cool results.

This time around, we get a new theme named Crystal Clock, that can be found on the North American PlayStation Store (you can also download it with a spare North American account and use it with your accounts from other regions, if you aren't from the US or Canada).

Here's a description:

We are proud to present this abstract dynamic theme, custom built to utilize the functionality of your PS4 system's internal clock. 'Crystal Clock' presents the time of day awash in an continually-evolving spectrum of color, bounded by a ghostly holographic simulation of 3-dimensional analogue timepiece. The pace is set by a 60 BPM rhythm that ticks away each second with hypnotic precision.

To add the cherry on top of this lovely cake, the theme is also cheap, costing only 99 cents. If you want to see what it looks like, you can check out a few screenshots and a video below.

I wonder when some of the big publishers are going to realize that this independent creator is putting most of the cheap static themes they make for their AAA games to shame.
