Axiom Verge Heads to Nintendo Switch on October 5th Digitally; Retail Release Coming Later
The beloved Metroidvania title Axiom Verge will be heading to the Nintendo Switch this October, with the game to release early digitally through the eShop.
Originally released in 2015, the indie hit Axiom Verge brought players into an adventure that payed homage to the Metroid series with a deep emphasis on exploration and discovery, with the title set to arrive on the Nintendo Switch in the very near future.
Developer Thomas Happ has announced that Axiom Verge will be moving up its release on the Nintendo Switch, following a survey that Happ conducted on Twitter with fans. As a result, Happ explained that the digital release of the title on the Nintendo Switch eShop will be moved up to October 5th, 2017, while the game’s physical release on the system will receive an updated release date “soon.”
Axiom Verge is currently available for PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, PS Vita, PC, Mac, and Linux, with the game to arrive on Nintendo Switch in October.
