Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack Brings Platforming Action to Nintendo Switch This Summer

Inti Creates announced today that the Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack will be making its way to Nintendo Switch on August 31.

This pack is a collection of Inti Creates’ awesome 2D action platformers Azure Striker Gunvolt and Azure Striker Gunvolt 2, which were released on the Nintendo 3DS last year. Fortunately, the Nintendo Switch version comes with quite a few new features.

First off, the action has been upped from 30 FPS to 60 FPS due to the Switch’s more powerful hardware. All of the DLC catalog from the 3DS versions of these games will also be included in this version from the start. The Nintendo Switch release also adds HD Rumble support for Gunvolt’s electrical attacks, a redone screen layout to accommodate being on a single screen, and a brand song from the virtual idol Lumen.

Other improvements include the fact that the Kudos system for the original Azure Striker Gunvolt has been changed to be the same as how it functioned in the second game, and that it boasts full support for the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.
