PlatinumGames promises Babylon's Fall visual upgrades and various other improvements in a new report.

Since its reveal at E3 2018, Babylon's Fall has been receiving increasingly negative reactions to its in-game visuals with every showing. A report published by PlatinumGames in response to beta feedback indicates that hasn't changed.

Babylon's Fall's Director Saito states "We’ve received feedback that the current brushwork filter impedes visibility, and have received requests to change it." He then acknowledges "We now see that the balance between the painted world concept and visibility needs further adjustment." Further adding "The development team is working on some major improvements to the art."

Visuals aren't the only aspect getting improvements in Babylon's Fall. PlatinumGames addresses a number of gameplay and systems related feedback as well for the online co-op action game.

Regional timings for the next phase of the beta were also confirmed. North American participants can play the beta on September 11th, between 7:30 pm and 10 pm PDT. This limited timeframe and Phase is mainly for stress-testing. It will be available to approved PS4 users and Phase 1 participants.

Those looking forward to seeing these visual upgrades and gameplay improvements will have to wait a while. PlatinumGames states "It will be difficult to reflect these changes for Phase 2, but we will focus our efforts so that we will be able to show you an even better BABYLON’S FALL which is of an even higher quality in Phase 3."

Phase 3 is scheduled for November 2021 and will further open up to selected PS5 applicants. Check out the Full Report for in-depth details on improvements we may see in Phase 3.

Babylon's Fall is coming to PS4, PS5, PC and does not have a release window at this time.
