Back 4 Blood is finally here and is set to fill the Left 4 Dead shaped void in many people's lives.
The title, developed by some of former Left 4 Dead team, takes the beloved zombie-killing formula and expands on it in a multitude of ways.
One of these ways is by having a roster of eight different characters, each with their own unique personalities and abilities - sadly, you only start with four of these when you begin the game.
So, to help you out, here's when you'll need to do to unlock the four locked characters - Doc, Hoffman, Jim and Karlee in Back 4 Blood.
What Are The Four Character's Abilities?
The four locked characters have a range of different abilities that will certainly be helpful in your Back 4 Blood playthrough. You can check them out here:
Doc: In Back 4 Blood, Doc can heal teammates on low health without using any healing items and also offers increased Team Trauma Resistance.
Hoffman: Hoffman has a much-increased chance of finding ammo when killing a ridden, alongside a +1% offensive inventory. He also gives 10% max ammo capacity to the team.
Jim: Jim is another offense-minded character who has increased aim down sights speed, increased damage with precision kills and offers a boost to team weakspot damage.
Karlee: Karlee senses nearby hazards, has +1 quick inventory and provides +1 team use speed.
How To Unlock Doc, Hoffman, Jim and Karlee in Back 4 Blood
Unlocking the four new characters in Back 4 Blood is straightforward, but not always easy.
To do so you'll need to complete the first four missions in the first act of the game. Upon doing so, you'll be granted a cutscene that introduces Doc, Hoffman, Jim and Karlee.
