With the game heading into Early Access next month, take a look at the system requirements for Baldur's Gate 3 and new Early Access details.

Larian Studios has had plenty of experience crafting massive, in-depth RPGs based on their work with the Divinity: Original Sin series, and their upcoming work on Baldur’s Gate 3 might be even more ambitious. The D&D-inspired RPG is finally set to make its debut next month with its now confirmed Early Access launch, with the studio sharing more details on what to expect from the massive RPG.

Alongside the system requirements for the game’s Early Access debut on PC, Larian Studios also shared an FAQ with more insight into the Early Access experience for Baldur’s Gate 3. According to its Steam page, Larian is anticipating the game being in an Early Access state for “at least one year,” but that timeline could change depending on the course of development.

The Early Access build will include the game’s first Act, which measures up to “approximately 25 hours of self-contained gameplay.” Players will be able to access 6 character classes from the start and recruit 5 (non-playable, for now) origin characters, while additional classes, races, and subraces are expected to be added later during its development. From the start, the Early Access build of Baldur’s Gate 3 will feature “most” of its initially advertised features, though others are a “work in progress,” according to Larian. Alongside the technical and content specifications of the beta, Larian revealed that the Early Access build for Baldur’s Gate 3 will be fully-voiced in English, while supporting 6 other languages for its interface and subtitles: French, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian, and Simplified Chinese.

Given its Early Access state, Larian was upfront that the EA version of Baldur’s Gate 3 won’t necessarily be a representation of what the final game looks like, but is still aiming to feel “complete, fun to play” and with “as little stub (unfinished) content as possible.” Naturally, the build will likely have bugs and other issues, but Larian stated that it will actively seek player feedback from this initial release and will “maintain a health relationship with those who take the time to provide feedback and help us create a better game.”

Baldur’s Gate 3 will debut in Early Access for PC and Google Stadia on September 30, 2020, followed by its full release at a later date.
