Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition Will Support Widescreen on All Eligible Platforms

on April 1, 2012 10:10 AM

A few days ago, with the announcement of a Mac OS X Version of Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition, a slightly misleading quote from the official site caused concern between fans planning to enjoy the revival of the glorious franchise on their PC.

According to the official site “The Enhanced Edition will include a variety of Mac OS X specific features, including widescreen and iCloud support.”

Many PC gamers interpreted it as an announcement that widescreen support would be exclusive to the Mac OS X version of the game.

Luckily this doesn’t seem to be the case, as Creative Director of Overhaul Games Trent Oster clarified on Twitter:

#bgee Will support widescreen on all platforms with a widescreen display.

Just as luckily, this isn’t an April fool.
