According to the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO)— the European Unions principal trademark registration catalog — Bandai Namco has filed an application for “Amazing Katamari Damacy.” First spotted by a NeoGAF user, the application is filed under Class 9 for game software, Class 28 for toys and playthings, and  Class 41 for online game software.

It’s worth mentioning that class 41 doesn’t necessarily mean that, if we’re talking about the new game, it will be online. The class is required for any kind of online feature, including smaller ones like leaderboards and similar.

Katamari Damacy was a fairly distinctive third-person puzzle-action game released in 2004 on PlayStation 2. The game’s plot involved rolling a magical adhesive ball in order to rebuild the stars, constellations and Moon. Since the original launch, there have been a handful of sequels, ranging from Me & My Katamari on PlayStation Portable to Tap My Katamari on iOS and Android.

There is no indication regarding what platform this possible game may be coming on. Either way, make your best guesses in the comments below.
