Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced its partnership with Counterplay Games to publish Duelyst on PC. The partnership will allow Counterplay Games to focus solely on the development of Duelyst without having to worry about publishing and everything that comes with it such as marketing and customer service. Originally released on August 23, 2016, Duelyst has held favorable review scores and currently holds a 'Very Positive' rating among Steam users.

Joon Hwang, Sr. Director, Digital Games at Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. had this to say in regards to the partnership:

“Counterplay Games has a brilliant reputation and it’s an honor to work alongside the talented developers of such iconic series as Diablo III and Ratchet & Clank. We look forward to collaborating with the Counterplay Games team to diversify our catalogue of free-to-play experiences at BANDAI NAMCO, while bringing rich and immersive gameplay to fans and newcomers of Duelyst.”

For those that haven't heard of Duelyst, the game is a collectible card game that blends tactical turn-based strategy to the mix. Players can earn and unlock different cards to add to their decks, which allows for total customization of deck strategies to match any play style. What makes Duelyst stand out from the rest of the collectible card games on the market is the turn based grid style gameplay. Rather than hoping you draw the perfect card, players will have to have map awareness and plan each move strategically.

In addition the newly founded partnership, Counterplay Games also recently announced the newest expansion coming to Duelyst. Dubbed, Unearthed Prophecy, the new expansion will bring 94 new cards to the game when the expansion launches on July 11, 2017.

Duelyst is currently available on PC via Steam as a free to play title.
