Bandai Namco Vancouver will be closing down soon. The unfortunate news was disclosed on Twitter by Landon Nguyen, Senior Vice President at Bandai Namco.

The studio was founded in March 2013 and was one of the spearheads in the mobile and tablet market for Bandai Namco social games, developing games like Tekken Mobile, Pac-Man 256, Pac-Man Bounce and Tap My Katamari.

It's currently unclear what brought this decision, as no details were shared so far by Bandai Namco. It's unclear as well how the shutdown of Bandai Namco Vancouver will affect ongoing games like Tekken Mobile in the long run. For now, Landon Nguyen, who also acts as the game's director, confirmed that Tekken Mobile support will be assured by "A small skeleton crew" that will stay at the studio.

We will be covering the situation and this article will be updated if Bandai Namco shares the reasons behind Vancouver studio's shutdown.
