The PS4 will be launched in Japan on February 22nd, which is basically tomorrow due to the time difference, and Sony Computer Entertainment is gearing up for the the big day, but just how much we can expect the new console to sell in its home turf?

Bandai Namco Vice President Shin Unozawa shared his prediction with the prominent financial newspaper Sankei Shinbun today, mentioning that he thinks that the console will sell between 300,000 and 500,000 units in Japan before the end of the fiscal year on March 31st.

Unozawa-san also expects it to move 6 million units worldwide by the same deadline.

While I feel that his forecast is a bit on the prudent side, considering that the console already sold 5.3 million units and there's still 42 days to go, we'll have to wait and see if he'll be proven right.

One thing is for sure: next Wednesday's media create charts will be interesting.
