Bandai Namco's Latest Pokemon Arcade Game Looks Really Fun

There are rarely things I love more than a good arcade game. And while I still haven’t been able to get my hands on the arcade version of Pokken Tournament, Bandai Namco’s newest Japanese machine is keeping the Pokemon love in Japanese arcades.

Seen in the above concept photo (thanks My Nintendo News), the point of the game is catching all the Pokemon by throwing Pokeballs at an interactive screen. Hitting the Pokemon allows you to automatically capture it and if you can clear all three levels, you have a chance at running across Mega Rayquaza and nabbing one of the twelve promotional cards (pictured below).

These machines are going to be made available in Japan (and possibly the Japanese Pokemon Gym) but there is no word whether the game will be heading West. However, Pokken Tournament managed to make it over to a few Dave & Busters, so no reason to lose hope. Check out the video footage of the game’s screen in action:
